KENYAN ATHLETE KIPYEGON BETT DIES AT AGE 26

Kipyegon Bett, a Kenyan runner who won a bronze medal in the 800-meter race at the 2017 World Championships, has sadly passed away at the young age of 26. He died due to kidney and liver problems.

Bett was once considered a very promising runner, but his career took a bad turn in 2018 when he was banned from racing for using a performance-enhancing drug. After his ban ended, Bett struggled with mental health issues and became addicted to alcohol.

Last week, Bett was taken to the hospital in his hometown but sadly passed away. Kenya has had many of its athletes banned for using drugs in recent years, even though the country has spent a lot of money to stop this problem.
