Angélique Angarni-Filopon has been crowned Miss France 2025.
Angélique Angarni-Filopon, a 34-year-old flight attendant from Martinique, was crowned Miss France 2025 on December 14, 2024. Her victory is historic, as she becomes the oldest contestant to win the title, following the pageant’s decision in 2022 to remove the previous age limit of 24.
Angarni-Filopon had previously been the first runner-up in the Miss Martinique competition in 2011. Upon winning Miss France, she expressed her desire to represent women who have been told it’s too late to pursue their dreams, stating, “It’s never too late.”
The first runner-up in the competition was 18-year-old Sabah Aïb from Nord-Pas-de-Calais. Other notable contestants included Stella Vangioni, Moïra André, and Lilou Emeline-Artuso.
This year’s pageant featured 30 contestants, reflecting the competition’s evolving inclusivity. The rule changes have allowed a more diverse group of women to participate, including those over 24, married women, and mothers.
Angarni-Filopon’s win has been widely covered in the media, with many highlighting the significance of her age and the message it sends about pursuing one’s dreams regardless of age.
