This year’s competition, the 73rd edition, featured fierce rivalry among 126 contestants from around the globe, including 18 representatives from African nations such as Nigeria, Angola, and Egypt. Chidimma initially secured a spot among the top 30 finalists, steadily advancing to the top five and ultimately claiming a top-two position alongside Theilvig.

Chidimma previously garnered attention when she withdrew from the Miss South Africa 2024 pageant after reaching the finals, following debates about her eligibility. Undeterred, she later triumphed as Miss Universe Nigeria, representing Taraba State, marking a significant milestone in her journey.
