Israel-Gaza Conflict: Airstrikes Kill at Least 27 Palestinians

At least 27 Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes on the Gaza Strip over the weekend.

The attacks targeted homes in Beit Lahiya and Gaza City, resulting in significant casualties. In Beit Lahiya, 10 people were killed, including a former Palestinian prisoner and his family members. In Gaza City, seven people, including two women, were killed in another airstrike.

The conflict has led to a dire humanitarian situation, with widespread hunger and bombardments affecting vulnerable populations, including pregnant women and children. The United Nations’ International Court of Justice has initiated hearings on Israel’s obligations regarding humanitarian aid in Palestinian territories, but Israel’s Foreign Minister has criticized the move.

The Israeli military has vowed to continue its offensive until hostages are returned and Hamas is dismantled. Over 2,000 Palestinians have been killed since the truce was shattered on March 18. Additionally, Israeli airstrikes have targeted southern Beirut, prompting condemnation from Lebanon’s President, and the situation remains volatile with no immediate resolution in sight.
